Real-Time Delivery of Downloadable
Products
This CyberStrong eShop add-on supports the real-time
delivery of downloadable products. You may associate a downloadable file with one or more
products, or product options. Great care has been taken to ensure that your original
master copies of your downloadable products remain secure. When your customer purchases a
product for which a downloadable file is available, a copy of that file is made to a
uniquely named folder. On completing his payment details, the customer is presented with a
modified version of CyberStrong eShop's receipt page which contains a link to this folder. Clicking
this link displays a page containing links to all the downloadable items just purchased.
The format of the download page is fully vendor
customizable and is controlled by a template file. This simple file can be edited with
your favorite HTML editor to create the look you require. Parameters in the template file
such as $(Download List) are substituted at the time of purchase with their appropriate
values.
If you wish, you can use your template file to invite
your customers to bookmark their uniquely named download page. This provides a convenient
method for customers to return to downloading should they lose their connection during the
download, or simply want to return and re-download their purchase at a future date. Old
download pages may be automatically removed after a period of time by setting a parameter
in CyberStrong eShop's administration area.
